Today, I am back on my web site. It has been year at least. I am promoting my new venture which is card making. I started this about 2 months ago and will be collecting and making new cards as often as I can. If you wish to purchase any, please send an e transfer to email@example.com. You may contact me at the same email. Thank you so much for looking at my new cards. I am just trying to set them up now so it will take a few days. Thanks for your patience. :)
I have not blogged for a very long time! Life has just gotten in the way of many things.
I work, and have very little time to enjoy painting. I do have some new works to put on here though.
I can't be known if I don't post! :)
I will try harder to keep this going and hopefully I can do more in the near future. :)
bless all of you for looking at my site.
It is January , 2020! Where has the time gone. It has been almost 5 years since my life was turned upside down!
I have painted some but not enough. I have had to get a full time job after being retired. I have basically had to move 3 times, buf through all that - well I have had the most amazing support and love that a person could even imagine.
I am still painting but I have been doing various styles. I love abstract, I love realiusm, watercolor, and oils.
My ex husband once told me to find a style and stick to it. I ask why? If you love to do it all then just go for it!
this is my first posting since 2016. I have wasted a lot of time in not doing what I love to do. 2020 is going to be my year!
Life can take a turn very quickly! I have had my world turn inside out and am just trying to get through everyday.
The heart can be broken into a thousand pieces but in the end I am told it does heal.
The one thing I find that is steady in my life is my Art! If I didn't have that, I would truly fall apart. I am praying that my work will appeal to you my site lookers. I really could use the help right now. LOL
It is a great feeling to work on my art, my Abstracts, and have people tell me they admire what I do.
If my life comes back together, which I am sure it will, my art is what I will be depending on to make somewhat of a living! This will be the start of a new life and I pray it will be wonderful.
Thank you, everyone for viewing my work and enjoying it. :)
Today was a very good day for me. I found out that I was accepted to do an Art Project that will make itself to Italy! There was a call out to Artists for this and I decided what the heck! Never thinking in one million years little old me would be accepted.
The small canvas are being sent from Italy. Once all of the Artists have been picked they will deliver the canvas. We will then be able to work on them and can do whatever we want, assuming though it will be in our style.
This will be sent back to Italy where another Artist puts them all on a panel. It is fabulous! Then I believe they will travel to different places to be shown. There are Artists from all over the world participating in this! To be a part of it is just incredible! I am incredibly excited!
Now that I am officially retired from my Job at Sobeys I am concentrating everyday on my Art work. Of course I would like to sell my art to not only have a small income but it is having the pleasure of knowing someone loved my style of art enough to hang it on their walls!
It is an incredible feeling that is not only ego boosting but humbling as well. This is such a wide stretch of emotional feelings that I am sure every Artist feels at some point in their career.
I have many people who have my art work on their walls, even my husband bought one of my painting and paid me in cash! LOl . I would like to take the time to thanks these people ( you know who you are ).
I also have many friends that are so encouraging and may not have a piece of my art, but keep my spirits up by simply continuing to support me and keep me doing what I love. All of you are important to what I am doing!
So I send this blog to you, my friends and family, for always being there no matter what! Without you, Art Creations By Dar would not exist!
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! :)
I am an Abstract Artist! What does this mean to me? It means that I love to paint things that maybe make no sense to anyone else but me. It means that I can do whatever I want, how I want and paint that on whatever I want. Does it mean though, that I must do the same type of style and keep to the same technique forever more?
In my opinion, absolutely not! I see things everyday that inspire me to think outside the box. I believe that we learn new things all the time and should try new things.
Upon saying this, I have just come back from a beautiful trip to Hawaii. It was so perfect and the Art Galleries there are truly amazing! I saw some very cool things there and some incredibly talented Artists. I mean their work sells for thousands of dollars! I saw a technique that I want to try. I will incorporate my style whatever that is ) into what I saw. I do not want to copy what I saw there but want to develop my own thing.
These next few weeks are going to be incredibly busy as I try to create something new!
Also there is an April At show here in Airdrie that I am a part of so I must remain diligent and focused on the projects at hand. :)
What a great feeling it is to say those words! I have had 4 paintings at the Genesis Place and business cards as well. I got an e-mail from a couple that were interested in my art. They have picked one and are picking it up on the weekend. I am over the moon! Art is all in the eye of the beholder. You will either love it or not. So when you have someone look you up and want to look at other work you have done it is such an awesome feeling.
To be able to say the words "It is Sold!" Is an amazing feeling but also a sense of pride. I am hoping this will be the start of many paintings done by myself, that I can say those words. :)
I have fallen in love with this new style of art I am doing. I love the canvas on white, and I love the bright colors I have used. I have done 4 that are similar. The pouring medium is so much fun to use and it is always a surprise to see what has happened to it when everything is dry.
If you want to see the other three please just check them out on here. If you do check the rest of my web site out, please leave a message on here to let me know you have had a look. :)
